Girls Don't Make Sense. Fact.

Girls.

They are crazy, kooky and caustic. But. You can't help it. You have to like them.

This post started out as an idea at lunch but has now become more.

[WHY THEY DON'T MAKE SENSE]
1. They are the opposite sex.
-Just this fact alone makes them un-understandable.

2.They "drop" hints.
-WRONG! As a guy, I can personally say that I am not good at hints. At all. EVER. You'd have to come out and say "Hey! I like you! Ask me out already!" or will not get the hint. A couple females tried to convince me otherwise and here's what happened:

Girls say: I'm fine.
What Girls Mean: They are having a bad day and they want you to shower them with compliments.
What Guys think: That the girl is fine. That's all.

Girls say: Heyyy! (Note the phenemenon known as the "Triple Y")
What Girls Mean: To talk to you.
What Guys Think: She wants the "D."

Girls say: .....my friend needs/wants/etc.
What Girls Mean: I want/I need/ I etc. (THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THEMSELVES)
What Guys think: Hmm. I guess her friend needs a lot of help.

Or it could be this:

Anything Girls Say: BLAHBLAHBLAH
Girls Mean: somethingsomethingsomething
What Guys Think: SHE WANS THE "D." REGARDLESS OF WHAT SHE SAID.
(Please note: this is usually never the case.)

But it's also on the reverse.

What Guys Say: You wanna hang?
What Girls Think (I think?): He thinks I'm just a friend.
What Guys Actually Mean: I like this girl and I want to spend some time with her to get to know her without freaking her out.

And so on.

The interactions with the opposite sex seems to continously play the game "Telephone."
You may think you're saying something right but by the time it gets to the ears of the intended target, the meanings. ARE. JUST. WRONG.

So next time you are talking to the opposite sex, try to change what you are going to say....umm....no.
Make it right?.....No that's not it.

I GOT IT!

Just don't talk to the opposite sex. There! That should fix it.

So you can die alone.
Hoo-rah.

What do you think? Am I wrong?
Leave your comments below. I really care about them. I really do.

Calm Before the Storm

Hey!

 Calm Before the Storm
So a lot of things are happening and it's getting crazy and you should know about them!
There are ten points, starting with:

1.
I have first decided where I will be attending college! It was tough but it came down to financial aid which sucks. I had decided on majoring in theoretical/particle/quantum physics and minoring in criminology. But now I'm not sure.
As a child, my greatest fascination was with multimedia. I have loved coming up with an idea, screenplay writing, set design, shooting, editing and publishing any sort of video, whether it be a short film, music video, rap, commercial, anything. I have loved it always and I realized something:

If you have the talent, the motivation and courage to follow your dreams, you'd be stupid to not follow them.

So I have decided to minor in film studies and film production. But who knows? Maybe I'll major in it....
Maybe I'll be the next "big" thing.....who knows?

2.
I have started a long list of projects for the next couple of months and for the summer. Look at the side bars for   more recent updates on "Current Projects." I'm writing the screenplay for "PROM" and I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE EXTRA ACTORS/ACTRESSES! That means you!
(People I have worked with in the past have said that the experience was an enjoyable one so if you are interested, comment below! Or Facebook me! Let's create something great!)

3.
A couple of organizations have asked me to create/ design some commercials and logo/t-shirt designs for them! It's nothing too big or fancy but it's a step to becoming big!

4.
On Friday, I was a leader at the Youth Frontiers "Respect Retreat" and there I met some wonderful people, especially Heatherlyn. She is a new up and coming artist  that tours all across the country with lots of catchy heartfelt songs. And she's also a wonderful person who genuinely cares about people. We started talking and she gave me her card so I recommend everybody check her out! I also showed her Team Swipe and I will be showing her my projects when they are finished! YAH!
For Heatherlyn and her awesome music: http://www.heatherlynmusic.com/
For Youth Frontiers: http://www.youthfrontiers.org/

5.
Team Swipe has been practicing very hard to perform well at the upcoming Team Tournament so we hope that you can make it out! Check back for more information! Also, a TS documentary is in the making!

6.
I spent yesterday helping my friend get ready for prom and also helped him buy some new clothes for his wardrobe. He has chosen me to be his personal trainer, fashion expert and wing man and for that, I am truly honored.

7.
I also spent the entire day with HAF's Wifey and a lot of chaos ensued. Which brings up the point of vlog weekends. People told me that I have interesting, spontaneous weekends filled with crazy ideas and I think you should be able to experience them with me, even if you can't be there. So I am creating and editing
"Lost Weekends." So be on the look out for that!

8.
And today I spent the majority of the day with some friends and we had a HUGE food drive, visiting in grand total (over five days) 200+ houses, collecting non-perishables for Interfaith Outreach. And it was a great success! We'll be heading over to Interfaith Outreach tomorrow to drop off our success!

9.
Oh yeah.
I'VE ALMOST GRADUATED. SOO CLOOSE.
Final push.

10.
I titled this post "Calm Before the Storm" because I feel as though major things are about to come my way. Good things. Exciting things. I'm just biding my time before things explode.

And I am ready.

A Look Back In Time + Creeper Friends

So my friend decided to Google my name and she -.

Wait.
The above sentence is extremely weird. But she's cool like that...I guess.

So she Googled my name and found a random essay I wrote for a scholarship some time ago.

Apparently I made it as a quarter finalist and I didn't even know. Hooray.

But here's what I wrote back then. I have inputted  my own commentary. Enjoy.

Q & A with Team Swipe

OK.

Today, six people just today asked me what exactly Team Swipe is.

And I will answer it right here.

Back in 2009, my brothers and I started to trick. If for some ABSURD reason you don't know what tricking is, here are some videos showing what it is.

I decided that instead of being random people who could trick, we should make a team or at least a group that people could recognize us by. The first idea was "Team Triple Threat" but that idea quickly died due to lack of popularity and because the team kept growing.

I came up with the idea of "Team Swipe." The name was simple, catchy and most importantly, interesting enough to pique the interests of others (which is why you are reading this!).

"Well, why 'swipe'? Why not something else?"

Good question, reader. And the answer comes in two parts.

One:
Swipe is a tricking term. When a tricker (one who tricks) jumps up and kicks with their dominant leg and LAND on that same leg, that is considered a "swipe." As a team, we did many swipe techniques and I felt that the swipe accurately portrayed who we are.

Two:
The second reason was...due to randomness. I was playing around with different ideas and "swipe" came to mind first. We could be under a different name today. And we might change the name down the road.

Q: So what is Team Swipe exactly?
A: Team Swipe is Minnesota-based martial arts tricking team that is recognized both nationally and internationally. We are a group of athletes that love to not only trick but to help spread the word about tricking to the masses. We are teachers in this new sport. We are people who push the human body to the limits in order to fly. At least without special effects and wires.

Q: Who is on Team Swipe?
A: Currently, there are 10 members. We are continuing to grow and we don't have a team limit. We will take all those who truly love tricking and what we stand for.

Q; How can I contact Team Swipe?
A: You can subscribe to Team Swipe on YouTube. We currently have three YouTube accounts for the three founders. Make sure to subscribe to them all!

1. http://www.youtube.com/user/TeamSwipeVM/featured
2. http://www.youtube.com/user/TEAMSWIPESM
3. http://www.youtube.com/user/TeamSwipeRM

Q: What are the goals of Team Swipe?
A: Well, the goals of Team Swipe are always changing. But we hope to perhaps be in the entertainment industry one day. We also have our own tricking goals.

I was the fifth person in history to do a Cheat 1260 Round Kick and the first person to do a standing Backside 1440 Hook Kick. But I'm not done. When I return to tricking (I'm injured at the moment) I hope to be the first person to break into 2000 degree spins with a Pop 2160 Hook kick. (Cheat 1260 and Backside 1440 videos are on YouTube)

We also want to make tricking and Team Swipe known worldwide. We are recognized but we'd love to be sponsored by Converse and other brands in order to further tricking and Team Swipe.

[SHAMLESS PLUG]
Team Swipe will be heading back to the National Karate Team Tournament but this time we're in the Champions division!

Last year, after winning first place for five years in a row, Team Swipe was upgraded to the
Champions Division, where we will compete with the best of the best. Only one team gets
upgraded every 5 years so we are very grateful for this opportunity

Come cheer us on and see some awesome martial artists.

It's an all day event filled with karate, food and just fun!

[THE INFO YOU NEED]
Who: Team Swipe and you!
What: All day karate tournament!
Where: Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Bloomington, MN (The tournament is all around the hotel!)
When: May 19, 2012  from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Why: Because you will see Team Swipe and just to have fun!

I really want you to be there. Seriously.

Hope to see you there!

Beyond the "V"

So.

Today at lunch, we discussed many things.

But the highlight was on shirts. Mostly v necks.

I don't know how the conversation turned to shirts and frankly, I don't care.

But then we started thinking about other ideas for shirts.

Through an interesting lunch, we all came up with different ideas for new shirts. Which was basically just shouting out different letters.

Here is my finished product.
Note: Some letters such as "L" were too explicit to wear.
Double Note: Please don't be too harsh about my Paint skills.

Beyond the "V" - A journey through the wonder that is shirt.

Productivity is at an all time low, my friends. But as always, no regrets.

New Stuff + New Update + New Tabs

So you may have noticed (you being loyal fans! Hopefully you still exist somewhere....) that there are some new tabs on the side.

[Musick...Lame. Music] Music that I fancy.

[VIDEOS THAT YOU SHOULD TAKE A GANDER AT] Videos from around the Web that I really enjoy.

And the newest one
[Short Stories] I realize that as a kid, I used to write a lot of stories. And somewhere along the way, I quit being a kid and stopped enjoying storytelling. NO MORE. Here will be new stories and updates to ongoing stories. Such as part 2 of "April" which is the title I gave the first story I wrote specifically for LHNF. Unless someone has a better name (fingers crossed!).

So check out the tabs weekly because they will be changing.

Here is part 2 of "April." But from now on, all updates for stories will be in [Short Stories]

"April"
Part Two

He didn't want to wake up.

He just had had a wonderful dream. An amazing dream. Possibly the best dream ever.

He had fallen asleep of course thinking about April. Everyday, he kept falling in love with her again.

Wait.

Was this love? He wasn't sure what love was. He had never felt "love" before. Not from his friends. Not from his siblings. Especially  not from his parents.

This feeling though. It was way too powerful to just be a crush. He wasn't sure what to call it but he didn't really care. He liked the feeling and that's all that mattered.

But that night, he ran through his encounters with April again and again. He thought about the first encounter back at the party.

He thought about the green and black striped sweater that she had worn with tight blue jeans and the bright purple shoes. Ha! No one else he knew could pull off that outfit. Except her.

Then when he found that she went to his high school, he jumped for joy. Literally. He ran around his house just yelling, causing his parents to scream at him but he didn't care. She was back in his life.

Then how they talked almost everyday. When they didn't talk, he felt like shit. He felt like it was all his fault. He kept thinking that he did something wrong. But then they would talk and he would quickly retreat back to Cloud 9.

As of the moment, they had not spoken in a while. He felt terrible. Everyone else around him seemed so damn happy, with their special ones and there he was, lonely and miserable. He wanted to scream at the world. At himself. Especially her.

He wanted to just yell.
"
WHY? WHY DON'T YOU NOTICE ME!? I TRY TO GET YOUR ATTENTION EVERY FUCKING DAY. I LOVE MAKING YOU LAUGH. I LOVE MAKING YOU SMILE. I LOVE JUST BEING ABLE TO TALK TO SOMEONE SO INTERESTING, SO DIFFERENT, SO COOL. SO MUCH BETTER THAN ME.  BUT YOU DON'T EVEN SEE ME. WHEN YOU TALK TO OTHER GUYS, I FEEL SO FUCKING JEALOUS. I FEEL SICK TO MY STOMACH BUT I SHOW NO EMOTION. WHY? GOD DAMN IT."

But he wouldn't, couldn't yell that. He had to keep his composure.
But he wanted to be done. He wanted to move on.
But he just couldn't. Especially not after the dream.

They were walking. She was walking just a couple of steps ahead of him. They had just come from a school play and were backing to his car. He was hoping to ask her out to a movie or dinner or something, anything.
But she kept saying she was busy or she had to do something.

He jokingly said "Haha why are you so busy all the time? It's amazing how much you are in demand. I'm glad we were able to spend even this time together.
"Haha yeah. You should scrapbook tonight. Remember it for the rest of you life."

"Of course I will. I don't wanna forget this moment."
"Me neither."

He paused. She kept walking. He quickly next to her.

"Wait!"
"Yeah?" She asked.

"We don't have to forget this moment."
"What do you mean?" She asked with a smile.
"You and I. This doesn't have to end right here.We could make this work. We could make this happen."
"Well what are you trying to say?" An even bigger smile spread across her face.
"What I mean is...I would like to take you out. to dinner. To a movie. To the beach. To anything."

As he saw her face drop, he quickly added "I mean just as friends."

"No."

There. There it was. The answer he had dreaded.

"No. I don't wanna go as just friends."

His heart forgot to beat.

"I really like you."

She moved in close and gave an indescribable kiss on his cheek.

"About time.
"

Warning: Sappy Post

Best friends.

They don't come often. I, myself, have never had a best friend.

But I just had a two hour conversation with this person.

They are most likely my best shot for having a best friend.

She is the best. She is a friend.

I think I know the next step here.

Oh boy. The times are changing now.

Where I Get Picked Up By a Creeper?

So

yesterday, I was on Facebook. For a couple of minutes. Promise.

I was minding my own business when I receive a notification. Which always makes my heart race for some reason. I always hope it's someone interesting or whatever. But's usually it's someone liking something or commenting about a comment. Or due to grad party season, grad party invites.

So I check my notifications. There I find that this "Kate Thomas" had tagged me in something.

I don't remember friending this Kate Thomas. I always friend people I know so ....this was weird.

When I checked the post, I was. APPALLED. DISGUSTED. SHOCKED.

This random Kate Thomas tagged me in ....an....what should we call it? AN ADULT VIDEO.

WHY!? OH WHY!!?

She tagged me in a random movie of adults.....yeah.

I quickly removed the tag and then went to see who this Kate Thomas was.
She or he or whatever had only the generic profile pics.

I then was about to leave when I receive another notification. Ding! Oh a message! Whom could it be?

None other than Kate Thomas.

This creep starts asking me "Where do you live?" and "What's your real name?" and various other personal questions.

I defriend them and log off.

Moral of the story? Be careful who you friend. They may be he/she creepers that secretly want you to come their homes.

Home is Where the Hans Are

Inspired

I read a recent post on a blog and was inspired to write this.

It's the first part in a mini series I guess. I don't have a title at the moment.
It's different than my usual and it's kinda sad.
But I hope you enjoy. I really do.

Had he seen her before?
He must have. She seemed too...real. Too...he didn't know the words to use. She seemed refreshing, insightful, cunning, different, and every other adjective that he could think of. It didn't hurt that she was cute too.

What he enjoyed about her most was that she was herself, regardless of the situation.

He always struggled in that department. He felt as though he was constantly changing who he was to fit in. He would be funny with one group of people than quickly change into someone else with the next.

Maybe he was that way because his family had moved 12 times in four years. Maybe because he was an immigrant instead of a citizen of the wonderful United States of America.
When you are the new kid so many times, you start to forget who you are and he lacked and longed for an identity.

Which is why he liked this girl.

He thinks back to when he first met her. Back at that one party in the summer. He didn't want to go but his friends dragged him along and that's when he met her.

If there was one thing that he liked about himself, it was the fact that he tried to be outgoing. He saw the girl and he casually walked up to her and they started talking. As usual, the talk was all crap but switched over to college.

"So you're a senior?"
"Yep. At my high school. Off to college I go next year." Off to college I go? Idiot. What was that? Clever lines, Mr. Bond.
"Yeah, me too. I'm excited though! A new adventure, new place, a new chapter in our lives."
"Frankly, I'm a little scared."

She paused for a moment before asking "Why? You seem like a cool guy who enjoys a good time."
"It just...I don't know. It's just I have worked hard to make it here. I mean, I don't get straight A's but I do well and my friends like me and I don't want that to change."

"So you're going to throw it all away to stay the same? You can't be afraid of change."

He didn't know how to respond to that. And he wouldn't get a chance to.
The girl had to leave somewhere and all of a sudden, everything quickened. His hands became sweatier, his heart started to beat at a higher pace, his vision narrowed down to seeing only the girl walk away.

"Wait!" He called. "I never got your name."

She shouted over her back, " Haha, you never asked. It's April. Nice to meet you."
And then she walked away.

When he crawled into bed later that morning, he could only think of one thing: her. Every few seconds, he'd think about something else, like his increasing homework pile but then he'd quickly switch back to her. And every time he did, he'd get that familiar butterfly feeling. A feeling that he'd started to like.

He just couldn't get her out of his head. Just constantly thinking about her. He wasn't crazy or a stalker but he did friend her on Facebook and he did creep on her pictures and he did creep on her wall.

Maybe he was a creep but he couldn't help himself. Temptation had control of him.

As he started to fall asleep, he thought about previous girls he liked.

There was the girlfriend back in first grade but that didn't count anyway.

There was the girl in fourth grade, who had kissed him on the cheek and he melted on the spot. But when he saw her kiss another boy, he felt disgusted. Angry. Hateful. He vowed that would never happen again.

But there was the girlfriend back in eighth grade. They were together for only the title and after nine months, she broke up with him over phone. And even though he never truly liked her, he still felt ugly, used.
And then the girls in between.

But he had never liked anyone like this.

As he fell asleep that night, a small smile tiptoed across his lips. This could be fun.

A Semi Normal Three Days

WHOA!! CENTERED FORMAT!
CRAZY AND ORIGINAL.
(Yay or nay on centered?)

Ha. I never have normal days.

So yesterday (or two days ago. All the days blend together.) My friend invited me over for steak!

Why the exclamation, you ask?
I say: Stop asking so many questions but

I have NEVER had steak before so it was a first for me.

We (others) all went over and we cooked and sang and ate.

I'm actually editing (liar, haven't even started) the vlog that we made and it should be here soon.
And also on HAF, the other blog I post on. Sometimes.

But some highlights?

-Singing
-Laughing
-Dancing
-Cooking
-Random car trip to Rainbow
-Dancing. With tinfoil.
-Nearly setting the house on fire
-Random drive to Lunds
-Random movie night (Jonah Hill in the "The Sitter." Mindless humor but still worth a watch)
-Random DQ Blizzard run (Oreo Cheesequake is a new flavor and I thought it wasn't bad)

And others that you'll see in the vlog and consequent post. Which I will do. Don't worry. Wipe the tears away. It's okay.

So that brings up to day two (I think).

Fast forward a boring morning of AP studying (HA! I FINALLY DID IT!)
It was free ice cream cone at Ben and Jerry's so a bunch of us headed over.

Which is pretty funny. They say "Only one cone."
Me: Ok.

[One Cone Only]
Employee: What flavor?
Me: Vanilla
Employee: Ok. Enjoy!
****5 Minutes pass******
Me: I'll take a mint double chocolate chip
Employee: What? You were just here.
Me: No, I'm an identical...quadruplet.
Employee: Really? You both wear the same clothes?
Me: Umm...yes. I blame mother.
Employee: Ok, here you go. And don't come back in.
Me: Ok.
*****5 Minutes pass******
Me: I'll have a cookie dough ice cream!
2nd employee: Hey! You were already here!
1st employee: It's okay Sarah. He's an identical triplet.
Me: Quintuplet.
1st employee: Oh yeah! Sorry. An identical quintuplet.
2nd employee: Sorry! Here ya go! Wow, we've never had sextuplets before!
Me:........

And so on.

But before I left, my brother and I walked in. Just to mess with them.
Oh, the reactions. A price could not be put on them.

We then walked to the beach and just had a good time.

Then my other brother came late and he asked if there was anything special he should say to get free ice cream.

And I jumped at the chance.

Brother: So should I say anything? You know to get the free ice cream?
Me: Yes.
Brother: Yeah, what?
Me: Ask for your ice cream and then ...
Brother: Yeah?
Me: Lean in close and then...
Brother: Um...okay? Yeah?
Me: Say "You are the sprinkly best."
Brother: "You are the sprinkly best?" What?
Me: Yep.
Brother: Wait! Are you serious?
Everyone else: LAUGHLAUGHLAUGH

Well, it would have been pretty funny.

After that, the group split up and some went to somewhere and we ended up going to Chipotle.
I ran into my college friend and we all sat down and just chilled. But we also wanted to do something "EXTREME." So what did our brilliant minds come up with?

[LEMON/LIME CHALLENGE]
Directions: Take a lemon and/or a lime. Take a bite. Swallow the acid juice and see how contorted your face gets. Rinse and repeat.

I got up to 2 lemon slices and 2 lime slices before I shut down. Tough stuff. I encourage all to try (This was also videotaped so you might get vids! Fingers crossed!).

After that, we all went and shot hoops for 5 hours.

So day three.

I woke up.
I studied.
I ate lunch.
I studied.
I ate a popsicle.
I studied.
I ate dinner.
I wrote this blog.

Excitement to the max. Try to contain yourself.

Spring break is almost over which makes me sad but I hope to have a great next couple of days!

I also wrote a haiku. Cause I wanted to. Kinda sad.

The boy wandered on.
He searched inside for answers.
Yet twas right in front.

Hmm. A sad taste in the mouth to finish. So how about a riddle?

What do you sit on, sleep on and brush your teeth with?

Good luck with this one.
