So you may have noticed (you being loyal fans! Hopefully you still exist somewhere....) that there are some new tabs on the side.
[Musick...Lame. Music] Music that I fancy.
[VIDEOS THAT YOU SHOULD TAKE A GANDER AT] Videos from around the Web that I really enjoy.
And the newest one
[Short Stories] I realize that as a kid, I used to write a lot of stories. And somewhere along the way, I quit being a kid and stopped enjoying storytelling. NO MORE. Here will be new stories and updates to ongoing stories. Such as part 2 of "April" which is the title I gave the first story I wrote specifically for LHNF. Unless someone has a better name (fingers crossed!).
So check out the tabs weekly because they will be changing.
Here is part 2 of "April." But from now on, all updates for stories will be in [Short Stories]
"April"
Part Two
He didn't want to wake up.
He just had had a wonderful dream. An amazing dream. Possibly the best dream ever.
He had fallen asleep of course thinking about April. Everyday, he kept falling in love with her again.
Wait.
Was this love? He wasn't sure what love was. He had never felt "love" before. Not from his friends. Not from his siblings. Especially not from his parents.
This feeling though. It was way too powerful to just be a crush. He wasn't sure what to call it but he didn't really care. He liked the feeling and that's all that mattered.
But that night, he ran through his encounters with April again and again. He thought about the first encounter back at the party.
He thought about the green and black striped sweater that she had worn with tight blue jeans and the bright purple shoes. Ha! No one else he knew could pull off that outfit. Except her.
Then when he found that she went to his high school, he jumped for joy. Literally. He ran around his house just yelling, causing his parents to scream at him but he didn't care. She was back in his life.
Then how they talked almost everyday. When they didn't talk, he felt like shit. He felt like it was all his fault. He kept thinking that he did something wrong. But then they would talk and he would quickly retreat back to Cloud 9.
As of the moment, they had not spoken in a while. He felt terrible. Everyone else around him seemed so damn happy, with their special ones and there he was, lonely and miserable. He wanted to scream at the world. At himself. Especially her.
He wanted to just yell.
"WHY? WHY DON'T YOU NOTICE ME!? I TRY TO GET YOUR ATTENTION EVERY FUCKING DAY. I LOVE MAKING YOU LAUGH. I LOVE MAKING YOU SMILE. I LOVE JUST BEING ABLE TO TALK TO SOMEONE SO INTERESTING, SO DIFFERENT, SO COOL. SO MUCH BETTER THAN ME. BUT YOU DON'T EVEN SEE ME. WHEN YOU TALK TO OTHER GUYS, I FEEL SO FUCKING JEALOUS. I FEEL SICK TO MY STOMACH BUT I SHOW NO EMOTION. WHY? GOD DAMN IT."
But he wouldn't, couldn't yell that. He had to keep his composure.
But he wanted to be done. He wanted to move on.
But he just couldn't. Especially not after the dream.
They were walking. She was walking just a couple of steps ahead of him. They had just come from a school play and were backing to his car. He was hoping to ask her out to a movie or dinner or something, anything.
But she kept saying she was busy or she had to do something.
He jokingly said "Haha why are you so busy all the time? It's amazing how much you are in demand. I'm glad we were able to spend even this time together.
"Haha yeah. You should scrapbook tonight. Remember it for the rest of you life."
"Of course I will. I don't wanna forget this moment."
"Me neither."
He paused. She kept walking. He quickly next to her.
"Wait!"
"Yeah?" She asked.
"We don't have to forget this moment."
"What do you mean?" She asked with a smile.
"You and I. This doesn't have to end right here.We could make this work. We could make this happen."
"Well what are you trying to say?" An even bigger smile spread across her face.
"What I mean is...I would like to take you out. to dinner. To a movie. To the beach. To anything."
As he saw her face drop, he quickly added "I mean just as friends."
"No."
There. There it was. The answer he had dreaded.
"No. I don't wanna go as just friends."
His heart forgot to beat.
"I really like you."
She moved in close and gave an indescribable kiss on his cheek.
"About time."
